Woodland Adventures and Forest Schools

All our projects are led by a qualified (Level 3) Forest School Leader and Mountain Leader, who hold current First Aid Certificates; they are fully insured and have current PVG's (Protecting Vunerable Groups disclosures)

These fun and educational workshops set learning in a different context, bringing lessons to life as all aspects of the curriculum for excellence are covered in child centred programmes developed around the needs and interests of the individual. Participants are challenged by the physical nature of the woodlands and gradually increase in confidence and self-esteem as they learn new skills whilst undertaking achievable practical tasks in the natural environment.

The woods offers endless possibilities for creative play and exploration; from den building to bug hunts, from environmental arts to green wood working, our sessions in the woods encourage healthy living. Participant’s emotional, physical and mental well-being improves as they actively engage in nature play out of doors, in this inherently healing environment.

All aspects of campcraft are covered, from ‘leave no trace’ fires to free foods and shelter building. These days are perfect for all ages. Reconnect with nature and learn how to survive in the wilderness.

Art and Games in the Woods

We work in local woodlands and outdoor spaces playing environmental and teambuilding games alongside creating large and small scale art from found and natural objects.

Theatre in the Woods

These fun filled days can enhance your classroom projects, giving young people a vehicle to express their opinions on pressing environmental issues. Incorporating song, music, dance and drama, we create unique pieces of theatre using nature as our backdrop. We write the scripts, make the costumes and perform our theatre in the woods. Previous projects have focused on the plight of the bees, the tree of life and recycling.
